Sometimes you are in a boat which gets fouled by some chancer or situation others should have avoided, and you don't bother to protest. So you sail the whole race pissed off with the offender and yourself for inaction and uncertainty.
You come into the mark last with the whole fleet infront of you. All you can do is actually hope that the wind changes.
It is a sad place to be,
....... but another race in life starts tommorrow or the day after which is also tommorrow. But you still have to sail round the course and then pack the sails away and have a beer with your chin down.
That is just the way it is in life and sailing sometimes.
