Why did they win this weekend, thaty nasty acid green Melges 24 ?
1) well prepared boat, mainly for off wind actually aka better spinnaker
2) off start good enough but right for the line they wanted to take due to wind and currents.
3) local knowledge on upwind strategy with the tide and wind.
4) capitalising on lead, sailing own wind, own race, fastest,shortest way.
5) fewer manoerves, mostly to keep line and strategy and avoid wind shadow.
